Basketball Game Preview: Hilmar Yellowjackets vs. Ripon Indians

Hilmar hasn't had much luck against Ripon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hilmar Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Ripon Indians at 7:30 p.m. Ripon took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hilmar, who comes in off a win.

Last Wednesday, Hilmar was able to grind out a solid victory over Hughson, taking the game 62-52.

Aaron Solorio went supernova for Hilmar, going 8-for-17 to rack up 23 points and eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Solorio has scored at least a third of Hilmar's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Quintero, who posted ten points along with eight boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Ripon came up short against Escalon on Wednesday and fell 58-47.

Hilmar's win bumped their record up to 8-18. As for Ripon, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Hilmar suffered a grim 75-53 defeat to Ripon when the teams last played back in January. Can Hilmar avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
