Volleyball Recap: Clark Cougars vs. O'Connor Panthers
Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Connor Panthers. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
Logan Mcginnis paced Clark's offense, picking up seven kills. Mcginnis got some help from Kelsey Simmerman and her seven assists.
O'Connor found their leader in sophomore Gabriella Maldonado, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Maldonado.
Clark now has a losing record of 7-8. As for O'Connor, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.
Clark has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Cedar Park on the 23rd. As for O'Connor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Grapevine on the 23rd.
