Basketball Recap: Greenwood Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Greenwood Christian Academy was the 51-40 winner over Center Grove when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars fell just short of the Center Grove Trojans by a score of 42-39 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Trojans are ranked 112th).

Greenwood Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Center Grove, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Greenwood Christian Academy will square off against Bethesda Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Greenwood Christian Academy is facing Bethesda Christian at the right time seeing as Bethesda Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Center Grove, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-36 win against Greenwood on the 18th.
