Baseball Recap: Shadow Hills Comes Up Short

Shadow Hills lost against Palm Desert last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Shadow Hills lost 16-5 to Palm Desert. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Shadow Hills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arturo Aviles, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave Aviles a new career-high. Isaac Munoz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Shadow Hills' loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Palm Desert, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Shadow Hills is set to challenge their familiar foe Rancho Mirage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Palm Desert will take on rival Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
