The West Lincoln Rebels will look to defend their home field against the East Burke Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. West Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
West Lincoln is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Patton with a sharp 18-7 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Abree Sutton and Payton Hood did most of the damage at the plate: Sutton went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Hood scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance gave Hood a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Carpenter, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
West Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, East Burke came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Lincolnton 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cavaliers have posted since April 25, 2024.
East Burke let Ally Boyette and Alyssa Shoemaker run wild. Boyette scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Shoemaker scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Amanda McLean was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
West Lincoln now has a winning record of 6-5. As for East Burke, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
East Burke's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Lincoln has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for East Burke, though, as they've been averaging 11.3 hits. Given West Lincoln's sizable advantage in that area, East Burke will need to find a way to close that gap.
