After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilson, Medina was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Akron Tigers a 6-0 shutout. Considering Medina have won five games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Akron from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Aleks Seefeldt led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Medina's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Akron, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Medina is set to take on their familiar foe Newfane at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Akron will face off against rival Royalton-Hartland at 4:45 p.m. on October 9.
