Volleyball Game Preview: Davenport Broncos vs. Mulberry Panthers

The Davenport Broncos will face off against the Mulberry Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Davenport will be strutting in after a win while Mulberry will be coming in after a loss.

Davenport took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Ridge Community, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Davenport skirted past Ridge Community 3-2. While the Broncos didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Davenport was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Mulberry came up short against Lake Highland Prep on Saturday and fell 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Mulberry and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for Davenport, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
