Baseball Game Preview: Marshalltown Bobcats vs. Lincoln Railsplitters

Marshalltown hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bobcats will take on the Railsplitters at 3:30 p.m. Marshalltown has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marshalltown is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Thursday. They lost 13-6 to Roosevelt.

Meanwhile, Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Winterset.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Marshalltown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Marshalltown came up short against Lincoln when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 8-3. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
