The Gaels returned to the winners circle in 2015 under first-year coach Gino DiMaria after finishing without a state championship the two previous seasons. Bishop Gorman lost five all-state players from the starting lineup, but it also returns a pair of all-state players in infielder

2. Arbor View (Las Vegas)

2015 record: 24-12
The Aggies played their final six games against either Bishop Gorman or Green Valley, the two state finalists, and managed to defeat each one at least once. Arbor View returns one of the nation's top infielders in
Nick Quintana, who batted .433 with 18 doubles, 49 RBIs and eight home runs. Arbor View also has one of the nation's top returning home run hitters in all-state first baseman
Ryan McHale, who had 16 home runs and 49 RBIs.

3. Reno
Head coach: Pete Savage
2015 record: 25-7
Reno lost its two state playoff games to eventual champion Bishop Gorman and finalist Green Valley, but the Huskies have to be considered among the favorites in Nevada in 2016. All-state catcher
Conor Allard returns after batting .457 with 36 RBIs. Reno also has one of the state's top juniors in all-state infielder
Garrett Gouldsmith, who batted .411 with 53 runs and 16 doubles.

4. Basic (Henderson)
Head coach: Scott Baker
2015 record: 27-6
Basic reached the semifinals of the Sunrise Region tournament, but was eliminated by Coronado. The Wolves will miss all-state pitcher Tanner Roundy, however all-state infielder
Ryne Nelson (.412, 4 HR, 6-1 pitching record) returns along with junior all-Southern Nevada first baseman
Jack Wold.

5. Faith Lutheran (Las Vegas)

The Crusaders fell in the Division 1-A championship game to Churchill County, preventing them from winning three straight state championships. Faith Lutheran returns a pair of all-state players in senior infielder
