Basketball Game Preview: Kerens Bobcats vs. Marlin Bulldogs

The Kerens Bobcats will take on the Marlin Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Kerens ended up a good deal behind Mildred and lost 55-40.

Meanwhile, Marlin entered their tilt with Bruceville-Eddy on Tuesday with 12 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 13. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 88-38 victory over the Eagles. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 30 points or more this season.

Marlin's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for Kerens, their loss dropped their record down to 22-6.

Kerens came up short against Marlin in their previous matchup back in November of 2014, falling 49-39. Can Kerens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
