Softball Game Preview: Rossview Hawks vs. Page Patriots

The Rossview Hawks will take on the Page Patriots in a tournament on Thursday. Rossview's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Page's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Rossview heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Wednesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walker Valley.

Meanwhile, Page had just enough and edged out Dobyns-Bennett 5-3 on Wednesday.

Ashley Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Adriana Callahan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was MacKenzie Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Rossview's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Page, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
