Soccer Game Preview: Eureka vs. Fortuna

The Eureka Loggers will head out on the road to take on the Fortuna Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Eureka will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Wednesday, then bounced right back against South Fork on Saturday. The Loggers blew past the Cubs 5-2. Eureka haven't had any issues with South Fork recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Fortuna made easy work of McKinleyville on Wednesday and carried off a 5-1 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Fortuna's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while McKinleyville are ranked 48th).

Eureka now has a winning record of 4-3-3. As for Fortuna, their win bumped their record up to 13-0.
