Volleyball Recap: Sulphur Springs Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sulphur Springs entered their tilt with Cumby on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sulphur Springs was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15.

Rainey Johnson paced Sulphur Springs' offense, picking up ten kills. Johnson got some help from Harper Hodges and her 17 assists. Sophie Schaack controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sulphur Springs' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cumby, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Sulphur Springs has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Edgewood on the 16th. As for Cumby, they will head out on the road to face off against Prairiland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
