Basketball Recap: Bridgeport Takes a Loss

Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springtown Porcupines. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-40 back in December of 2024.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Springtown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-18.

Bridgeport will face off against Burkburnett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Burkburnett knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Bridgeport likes a good challenge. Springtown has already played their next game (against Castleberry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
