While Edinburgh's win against Trinity Lutheran wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cougars 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted since April 1st.
Kenna Streeval was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Streeval was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Eloise Cox was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Adalynn Ramey, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Edinburgh now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Trinity Lutheran, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Looking ahead, Edinburgh will welcome Southwestern at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Lutheran, they will head out on the road to take on Clarksville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
