After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Handley, Skyline was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Manassas Park Cougars as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Manassas Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-19.

Skyline and Manassas Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Hawks (ranked 261st) will meet Meridian (ranked 111th) at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Manassas Park will challenge Kettle Run at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (385 vs. 32).
