Baseball Recap: Obama Academy of International Studies Find Success

Obama Academy of International Studies hadn't done well against Kiski School recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Cougars 5-4. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 6-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Caleb Myers was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Elijah Rawlings, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Obama Academy of International Studies has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kiski School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Obama Academy of International Studies will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Steel Valley at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles are facing the Ironmen at the right time seeing as the Ironmen are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Kiski School, they will head out on the road to square off against Homer-Center at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
