Volleyball Recap: Pierce County Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Pierce County kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Pierce County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 17-15.

Coincidentally, Pierce County and Thomas County Central will both be playing Valdosta the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellow Jackets will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
