Baseball Recap: Round Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hopi last Wednesday, Round Valley came back down to earth. The Elks fell just short of the Benjamin Franklin Chargers by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Elks in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost four in a row.

Jeffery Cochran made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Round Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Benjamin Franklin, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Round Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-3 loss against San Tan Charter on the 11th. As for Benjamin Franklin, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Safford on the 11th.
