Baseball Game Preview: Glenn Falcons vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings

For the second straight game, Glenn will face off against Tippecanoe Valley. The Falcons will host the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Glenn has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Glenn's victory against Tippecanoe Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Vikings on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Brendin Hodges spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colin Hamel was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Kaden Lang was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Glenn's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
