Basketball Recap: Land O' Lakes Takes a Loss

Land O' Lakes's tournament run continued when they took on Rocky Bayou Christian on Saturday. The Gators took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

When it comes to explaining why Land O' Lakes lost, don't look at Jacoby Davis. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-16 to rack up 21 points and six rebounds. Davis has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Christian Daley, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rocky Bayou Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calix McCune, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. Harrison Sanders was another key player, putting up 15 points and seven boards.

Land O' Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Land O' Lakes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-56 defeat against Wiregrass Ranch on the 3rd. As for Rocky Bayou Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 50-46 victory against Pensacola Catholic on the 2nd.
