Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Patrick Henry Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They managed a 67-62 win over the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 64-48 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rowen Croft was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 23 en route to 31 points in addition to six boards and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Trey Adkins was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Hilton Head Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Foster, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Foster a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jake Wood, who went 6 for 10 en route to 16 points.

With the victory, Patrick Henry Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Patrick Henry Academy will welcome Colleton Prep Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 28th. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Trinity Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
