Bartlesville fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Muskogee on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Roughers by a score of 7-6. The Bruins' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Damien Niko made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Bartlesville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Muskogee, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

While Bartlesville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
