Basketball Recap: Menomonie Takes a Loss

Menomonie was the 61-42 winner over Eau Claire North when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Menomonie Mustangs took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eau Claire North Huskies on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Menomonie now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Eau Claire North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menomonie will venture away from home to take on Eau Claire Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Eau Claire Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Menomonie likes a good challenge. As for Eau Claire North, they are taking a road trip to face off against River Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
