Football Recap: Clinton Prairie Piles Up the Points Against Frankfort

While Clinton Prairie put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Frankfort. The Gophers breezed past the Hot Dogs to the tune of 50-0. The Gophers haven't had any issues with the Hot Dogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hunter Cooper went supernova, rushing for 134 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kye Jacobs, who picked up 61 receiving yards and two TDs.

Clinton Prairie's run defense was locked in: Frankfort could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The Gophers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.7.

The win got Clinton Prairie back to even at 1-1. As for Frankfort, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Clinton Prairie and Frankfort will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Gophers will square off against rival Clinton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Frankfort is set to face off against their familiar foe Greencastle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
