Wausa/Osmond are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Stanton Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran up and down the field in their prior games.

Wausa/Osmond is headed out to face Stanton after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Wausa/Osmond strolled past Wakefield with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-32.

Wausa/Osmond found their leader in underclassman Mac Carlson, who rushed for 214 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Carlson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Kaleb Gardner was another key player, rushing for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Barrett Wilke went supernova for Stanton, rushing for 196 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 128 yards on only 12 passes.

Wilke wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Stanton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 205 rushing yards in 14 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
