Basketball Recap: Fort Campbell Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tyrek Anthony and Israel Dillard

Fort Campbell lost against Livingston Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fort Campbell Falcons fell 66-58 to the Livingston Central Cardinals. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Israel Dillard and Tyrek Anthony certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Dillard dropped a double-double with 27 points and 14 boards, while Anthony went 8 for 19 on his way to 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Anthony's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jamile Wilson, who posted six points.

Even though they lost, Fort Campbell was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Fort Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Livingston Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Fort Campbell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-35 defeat against Allen County-Scottsville on the 8th. As for Livingston Central, they have also already played their next contest, an 87-67 loss against Hopkins County Central on the 7th.
