The Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights's and the Amelia Academy Patriots's game on Tuesday was close at halftime, but the Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights turned on the heat in the second half with 44 points. Guardian Christian Academy really took it to Amelia Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-32 win on the road. The win was familiar territory for Guardian Christian Academy who now have three in a row.
Amelia Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kyle Anderson, who scored 11 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Barbour, who scored 2 points along with 15 rebounds.
Guardian Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Amelia Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Guardian Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Amelia Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fuqua at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
