Atticus Schroeder commands the offense for a Eagles win

Recap: Heritage Eagles vs. Cherokee Trail Cougars
The Heritage Eagles waltzed into their game Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Cherokee Trail by a score of 53-45. For Heritage, this counts as revenge for the 61-51 loss Cherokee Trail walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Heritage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Atticus Schroeder led the charge by scoring nine points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Logan Hause was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Heritage now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cherokee Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Heritage will head out on the road to face off against Arapahoe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee Trail will be home for the holidays to greet Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Regis Jesuit's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
