Soccer Recap: Clayton Takes a Loss

Clayton lost against Corinth Holders back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Comets came up short against the Pirates, falling 3-0. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Alexis Morgan was handed one for Clayton, while Corinth Holders got theirs courtesy of Samantha Fore.

Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Corinth Holders, they now have a winning record of 5-4-3.

Clayton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Willow Spring on the 10th. As for Corinth Holders, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southeast Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
