Baseball Recap: Treasure Coast Takes a Loss

Treasure Coast lost against Martin County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Titans came up short against the Tigers, falling 12-6. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thomas Johnson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Treasure Coast: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-9 otherwise. Michael Brandt also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Treasure Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Martin County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Coming up, Treasure Coast will be playing in front of their home fans against John Carroll Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martin County, they will challenge Jensen Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
