It was a good run, but Amundsen unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lane Tech Champions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Lane Tech can attribute much of their success to Alyssa Loverde, who had six digs, two aces, and a kill. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Apezzato, who had ten digs.
Amundsen's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lane Tech, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.
Amundsen will face off against Leyden at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lane Tech, they will challenge Willowbrook at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Willowbrook will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lane Tech surely won't give up without a fight.
