Baseball Recap: Corcoran Wins Going Away Against Golden Valley

Corcoran won against Fresno Christian last Wednesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Corcoran Panthers blew past the Golden Valley Bulldogs 12-0. Considering the Panthers have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Brayden Espinoza, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Frazier, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Corcoran hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

Corcoran's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Golden Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Corcoran Panthers face off against Woodlake Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Corcoran's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Woodlake's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Golden Valley, they will challenge Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
