Basketball Recap: Belvidere Comes Up Short

Belvidere was the 64-61 winner over Jefferson when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Belvidere Bucs fell 76-63 to the Jefferson J-Hawks on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (55), the Bucs still had to take the loss.

Belvidere has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Jefferson, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belvidere will head out to take on Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodstock will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Belvidere surely won't give up without a fight. Jefferson has already played their next game (against Rockford Auburn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
