Baseball Recap: Clinton County Victorious

While Clinton County's victory against Cumberland County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Clinton County came out on top in a nail-biter against Cumberland County on Saturday, sneaking past 13-11. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Caleb Thrasher was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Rodgers, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Clinton County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Clinton County's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Cumberland County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Clinton County will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cumberland County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
