Football Recap: Gainesville Comes Up Short

Gainesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Buchholz Bobcats, falling 35-12. The Hurricanes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Gainesville's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Buchholz, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Gainesville and Columbia will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. Gainesville is facing Columbia at the right time seeing as Columbia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Buchholz, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Buchholz Bobcats challenge Newberry Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. They are strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32.9 points per game this season.
