It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Springfield Blue Devils by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. The Fighting Irish's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Springfield, they are taking a road trip to challenge Perrysburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellow Jackets will roll in looking for their 25th straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight.
