Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeland Panthers vs. LaFayette Ramblers

The Ridgeland Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the LaFayette Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeland has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 3.

On Tuesday, Ridgeland was beaten by Calhoun 62-13. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, LaFayette had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 47-42 win over Adairsville on Tuesday.

LaFayette's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6. As for Ridgeland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Ridgeland took a serious blow against LaFayette in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 58-31. Can Ridgeland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
