Volleyball Game Preview: Ruston Bearcats vs. Fontainebleau Bulldogs

Ruston is 0-7 against Fontainebleau since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Bearcats will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ruston duked it out with Benton on Thursday. The Bearcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Fontainebleau faced Northshore in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Ruston's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Fontainebleau, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-13.

Ruston couldn't quite get it done against Fontainebleau in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
