Softball Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

Nicholas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Boone County Rebels.

Nicholas County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sidney Sexton, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Madelyn Amburgey also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Nicholas County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Boone County, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Looking ahead, Nicholas County will venture away from home to challenge Dayton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Boone County, they will square off against Frankfort at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
