Soccer Recap: Yuba City Comes Up Short

Yuba City's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Roseville Tigers by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Honkers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while the Tigers are ranked 167th).

Yuba City's goal came courtesy of Pablo Guzman, who's now up to three this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Yuba City and nudges their season record down to 5-6-3. As for Roseville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Yuba City has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Twelve Bridges on the 29th. As for Roseville, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Placer on the 24th.
