Basketball Game Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Columbus Falcons

The Walnut Wildcats will face off against the Columbus Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Columbus took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Walnut, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Walnut challenged Ripley on Friday. The Wildcats took their matchup with ease, bagging a 59-30 win over the Tigers. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Walnut can attribute much of their success to Kaylee Estes, who posted 11 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. Kenley Kirk was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Columbus lost 62-37 to Kemper County on Saturday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Walnut, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
