Baseball Recap: Muncie Burris Comes Up Short

If Muncie Burris was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Union on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Owls came up short against the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles on Friday, falling 22-3.

Muncie Burris saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dane Adams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Adams is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Muncie Burris' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Muncie Burris will square off against Daleville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they will face off against Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
