Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Sabers vs. Wauwatosa West Trojans

The Franklin Sabers will take on the Wauwatosa West Trojans in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Franklin came up short against Racine Park and fell 67-59. The Sabers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Franklin's loss came about despite a quality game from Brenna Nichols, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Truong, who posted 11 points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Franklin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, Wauwatosa West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 90-40 loss at the hands of Menomonee Falls.

Wauwatosa West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
