The Blessed Trinity Titans will challenge the Centennial Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Blessed Trinity, who comes in off a win.
Blessed Trinity was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Westminster on Friday. The Titans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wildcats 56-0. The contest marked the Titans' most dominant win of the season.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Ahmontae Pitts and MJ Craft. Pitts gained 157 total yards and four touchdowns while Craft rushed for 163 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. Craft's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Page, who threw for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.
Blessed Trinity was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 312 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Blessed Trinity's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Christian Wolfe, Dawson Jacobs, and D.J. Jacobs, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Centennial took a blow against Kell on Friday, falling 55-20. The Knights have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Blessed Trinity will have to keep a close watch on Aj Hatton and Junior Howard, a pair of players who had a big impact on Centennial's prior game. Hatton threw for 198 yards and two TDs, while Howard picked up 105 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Blessed Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.
Everything came up roses for Blessed Trinity against Centennial in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-3 win. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
