Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Free State Comes Up Short

Lawrence Free State lost against Washburn Rural back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Firebirds fell 2-0 to the Blues. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Annika Lintecum paced Lawrence Free State's offense, picking up five kills. Lintecum got some help from Tesssa Nover-Estes and her nine assists.

Lawrence Free State's defeat dropped their record down to 20-14. As for Washburn Rural, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-8-2 record this season.

Lawrence Free State has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Olathe West on the 31st. Washburn Rural does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
