Softball Game Preview: Bergtraum Blazers vs. Rustin

After both having extra time off, the Bergtraum Blazers and Rustin will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bergtraum has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Bergtraum came up short against Pace and fell 11-7. The Blazers have struggled against the Setters recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Rustin fell victim to School of the Future and their airtight pitching crew last Thursday. They lost 12-0 to School of the Future. The match marked the first time this year in which Rustin was not able to get on the board.

Rustin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bergtraum, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Bergtraum suffered a grim 19-8 defeat to Rustin in their previous meeting back in April of 2018. Can the Blazers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
