Volleyball Game Preview: Excel Christian Academy Spartans vs. Genesis Prep Panthers

The Excel Christian Academy Spartans will challenge the Genesis Prep Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Excel Christian Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Winter Haven Christian.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-8, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Genesis Prep made easy work of Web of Wisdom back in September and carried off a 3-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wizards recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Genesis Prep took every set by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Excel Christian Academy's loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7. As for Genesis Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Excel Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Genesis Prep in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as they fell 3-1. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
