Baseball Recap: Susquehanna Township Comes Up Short

Susquehanna Township fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Middletown on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Raiders by a score of 7-6. The HANNA haven't had much luck with the Blue Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Torin Evans made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Susquehanna Township's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Middletown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Coming up, Susquehanna Township will take on Bishop McDevitt at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Middletown, they will square off against Camp Hill at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
