Baseball Recap: Westmoreland Takes a Loss

Westmoreland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-0 to the Northumberland Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-0 loss on Tuesday.

Westmoreland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Northumberland, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Westmoreland will be playing at home against Chancellor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.58 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northumberland, they will face off against Colonial Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
